MX65X PCB
Cipulot's MX65X
MX PCB - MX65X
The MX65X is an ultra-flexible MX PCB crafted by Cipulot, built to support nearly every layout you can imagine. Engineered for broad compatibility, it’s especially tailored for the Phi 65 keyboard but fits seamlessly into many other cases.
There are a few variations for you to choose from:
- Solderable
- Hot-swap
- Hot-swap (B-stock)
Hot-swap Options
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: all hotswap PCBs have a small clearance issue due with the left three modifier keys in the bottom row, that can be easily mitigated with either of the following options. The clearance issue exists because of the rotated sockets to support multiple layouts in the bottom row. This issue was not discovered after production, and future PCBs will not have this annoyance.
- Desolder the socket that's getting in your way that you don't plan to utilize.
- Shave the center plastic stem of the switch you plan to use in that spot.
- Ignore the issue and push the switch in, being sure to see the switch bottom out on the top face of the PCB. I did this while using a switch pusher before I even knew this problem existed. I didn't notice the problem myself during assembly and the PCB works fine. Note: this could leave a small visible mark on the center stem of your switch but there will be no performance impact as a result.
- Choose the solderable PCB instead which does not exhibit the same issue.
We also offer a B-stock option. These units were from the first batch of the production run. During QC we discovered a routing issue with one of the traces that then Cipulot, himself, patched and repaired. Epoxy resin has been applied over the patch and each PCB has been tested and verified. If you encounter an issue with the PCB's functionality, you're welcome to request a replacement or a return in exchange for a full refund.

Solderable Option

Please note: Daughterboard, JST cable, and screws are not included with any hot-swap or solderable PCB!
