Group Buys

Derivative EC Kit 

The group buy for the Derivative EC kit launches February 1, 2025 and will end March 1, 2025. Assuming MOQ is met, the production order will be placed on Monday, March 3, and fulfillment is expected to be 2-3 months following the Group Buy's completion. All units will then be shipped to Omnitype's warehouse who will be handling fulfillment on our behalf. Support requests, however, should go through Clever Keebs. Updates for the group buy will be posted here and in our Discord server.

May11, 2025 Update

All parts and packaging are ready for shipment. We're hoping to ship kits to Omnitype for fulfillment in the next week once everything is packaged together. We're unsure at the moment if will ship via sea or air, which will impact when we can fulfill orders. We'll update here once we find out this week. As always, check our Discord server for the latest updates.

Blue Ridge

There are two production runs for the Blue Ridge currently active. Both are currently in production and are expected to be completed by the end of Q1, 2025. They should be available in-stock or via preorder by the end of Q1 or beginning of Q2, 2025. 

1. Polycarbonate production run (~100 units worldwide) - 5 color-ways available across 4 vendors: Clever Keebs (USA), CannonKeys (USA), ktechs (Singapore, SEA), and Prototypist (UK/EU). 
2. Aluminum, charity production run (10 units reserved, one of which will be available via raffle)

May11, 2025 Update

• There are a few remaining weight parts that need surface finishing.
• Carrying cases finish this coming week and ship to the board manufacturer where they'll be kitted prior to being shipped to vendors (Clever Keebs, Cannon Keys, Prototypist, and ktechs).
• The custom FR4 for the PCBs has finished and shipped the manufacturer for assembly. Once finished, they'll be tested, QC'd, and shipped to the board manufacturer.
• Planning the preorder to take place end of May or beginning of June.

Phi 65

R1 of this board will be available exclusively on Clever Keebs, with 50 units available at launch across two color-ways. Production for the board and MX plate system is nearing completion, and the EC kit design is underway. The Phi 65 is expected to be available by the end of the quarter.

May11, 2025 Update

• All parts for the keyboard have finished production.
• PCBs have finished production and are ready for kitting.
• Carrying cases finish this coming week and ship to the board manufacturer.
• The wrong screws were ordered, so we're awaiting new ones to arrive this coming week.
• Boards should begin shipping before end of month. Individuals who placed their order for a MX kit in Asia will receive their units directly from the factory. Other orders worldwide will need to wait for boards to be shipped and delivered to the Omnitype warehouse prior to fulfillment.
• We'll update Discord and our website once we know if boards will be shipped via sea or air to our fulfillment center. That decision will impact the timeline for fulfillment (air = quicker, sea = slower).
